Summer Update!
At MSBC it’s been a flurry of activity heading towards the Summer with 4 of our large projects reaching a conclusion.
Farmhouse Extension & Renovation in Birdham
Ron, Rob and the team have almost completed the complete renovation of a listed farmhouse in West Sussex (including single storey extension and creation of multiple timber framed out-buildings). Working in partnership with the client and JB Architecture we have transformed this dated farmhouse into a bright, modern and spacious area perfect for family life. The external groundworks and landscaping are taking shape and once complete will tie the main living area to the pool, pool house, tennis court, bbq area and outbuildings via a plethora of planting, pathways, raised beds and patio areas.
Stunning Extension and Refurbishments to country homes in Stedham and Oreham
In what was a dated turn of the century property with stunning views of the Sussex Downs Nick is over-seeing the finishing touches to this extensive renovation and two-storey extension. The design (by Gaffney Architecture) included a bespoke floating staircase provided by Railing London, the staircase seamlessly links the old building to the new glazed link extension which has created a beautifully light and contemporary area which has transformed the feel of the entire property.
Our clients in Stedham came to us with a vision for their dream home. Dave, Leon and the team have knocked down walls, re-configured layouts, renewed electrics, extended, decorated and delivered a stunning end product which has bought the original building firmly into the 21st century whilst respecting the original character features such as the oak beams and an original ‘pizza oven’ built into the chimney breast that the client wanted restored and enhanced.
Extension to Cottage on Hayling Island
Steve has directed this substantial first floor extension and kitchen refurbishment which includes roof solar panels and an outside kitchen complete with pizza oven and barbeque built into the kitchen area. After careful consideration with the client we managed to retain the original roof and vaulted ceiling and construct the new roof above, allowing the farmhouse to preserve some of it’s amazing character features.
On a positive note, some recent feedback from one of our regular architect clients. “One of the nice things about working with MSBC is that when we receive a price from them we know they will stick to it and we can rely on it”. Great to know that all the work developing our detailed tender spreadsheet is being received well by customers and architects!
It was wonderful to see that Grace Church’s open-air screening of The Greatest Showman in Chichester was so well attended by the community on 23rd June. More than 1,000 people attended and the entire evening was a huge success, MSBC was proud to support and sponsor this fantastic community event!
